The holiday season in New York brings with it
many things, the following included: the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree,
subsequent tourists, and shopping. And while I can’t offer much related to the
first two, I can provide some holiday shopping tips, especially when it comes
to finding gifts for the fashionistas in your life. Here’s a list of shopping
destinations worthy of your especially chic loved ones:
The Styleliner Truck: This
mobile boutique, the invention of Native New Yorker Jamie Wolffer, offers rare
jewelry and accessories from her globetrotting adventures. Translation: a
definite way to make your fashionista friend feel special.
The Holiday Shops at Bryant Park: With 100+ mini-boutiques, you're sure to find that infinity scarf your best friend has been eyeing.
The Pratt Center's Made in NYC HolidayShop: This online holiday shop is a fabulous initiative supporting local manufacturers and offers looks from the likes of Nanette Lepore, Stitch Collective and more, a gift with meaning.
Deck the Halls NYC: 20 glorious days of pop-up shopping featuring 40 of the chicest up & coming brands like A Peace Treaty, Bklyn Dry Goods, and BAGGU®. Your trendy sister will think you have the edge.

I Like What You're Wearing at Dagny + Barstow:
Let your loved one be the first to wear an Inna Clothing Co. jacket or a Soul
Carrier clutch when fab fashion start-up, I Like What You're Wearing, sets up
shop at the Bowery boutique, Dagny + Barrow.
No. 6:
Help warm the toes of family and friends with these irresistibly classic
and quality clogs. They will not disappoint. And if that doesn’t sell you, No
6. is a must-shop destination when Gwyneth is in town.
C. Wonder: Yes it is a chain, but if you’ve
gone everywhere else on the list and still haven’t found anything for your
fashion forward giftee, there is no doubt you will find success here. Whether
it’s an iPad case, a blouse or an embroidered pillow cover, your trendy nearest
and dearest will be delighted.
The most important thing to
remember when shopping for your fashionably savvy friends and family is that
it’s the thought that counts. So take the time to think through this list
thoroughly, and since the clock is ticking --- get shopping!
