Straight from the outer boroughs
It’s no secret that the Brooklyn food scene has exploded over the past few years. In fact, you’ll find a diverse selection of eats in most every neighborhood in the borough of Kings. We’ve featured eateries in areas like Carroll Gardens, Prospect Heights, Bay Ridge, and Greenpoint, right here on Tracy’s New York Life. Likewise, with the array of scrumptious places to dine and imbibe in our great city, sometimes choosing our next meal out is one of our biggest challenges. (This is an excellent challenge to have!)
Next week on April 29, we have the chance to sample bites from some of the hottest restaurants in town ––at Tasting Brooklyn. The culinary event is the ideal way to try different foodstuffs from a variety of local eateries, and all in one night. If you’re like me –– and eating, drinking, and merriness are at the top of your to-do list –– this is a get-together you will not want to miss.
The fourth annual festival will include dishes and drinks from establishments like 1 Knickerbocker, Martha, Falansai, The Pines, Brooklyn Oenology, and Sixpoint Beer. Brought to us by Social Fix (formerly Brooklyn Exposed), the event promises a true taste all things edible and Brooklyn based. These are a few mouthwatering food scenes from last year’s affair.
Whether you’re an occasional restaurant-goer or a consummate gourmet; you prefer simple dishes or those with big, bold flavors; I can promise you this: you will not go hungry at Tasting Brooklyn.
General admission is $55 for two and a half hours of all you can savor and sip; VIP tickets are $80 and include early admission (1 hour before general), and a Brooklyn-inspired gift bag. Purchase tickets here.
