I’d like to welcome Bogey Kaler back as today’s guest blogger. Bogey’s stories are some of the most popular on Tracy’s New York Life.

It was such a fun weekend—Woof! I got to go in the car again to Grandma’s house in Pennsylvania. On our way there, we were stuck in traffic. I hate traffic, and don’t sleep well when I’m in it. I was looking out the back window and there was a huge thing staring at me! Growl, growl, snarl woof woof! I started talking to this thing that Daddy called a horse and I told it to leave us alone. I couldn’t stop yelling at this horse thing. It looked mean and it scared me. I was just doing my job, trying to protect my little sister, Mimi-Kitty. After about 10 blocks of yelling at it, we drove away and the horse didn’t follow. Finally, the traffic was over so I could sleep. Snore…….
I love going to Pennsylvania! Daddy took me to the woods for play time and squirrel chases. Mommy stayed in bed like she usually does. I swam in the pond with the ducks, and I didn’t scare them too badly. But on Saturday night, I was a little naughty. I was in the mood to play even more. Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma Chrissy went out to dinner. I got bored and went through the basket to find my orange spongey balls. I had to chew some things to get them, but I managed. Boy oh boy did I have fun! I love those balls more than squirrels and cookies put together. But when Mommy and Daddy got home, I got scolded. I made a mess. I ate my poopie bag holder that attaches to my leash. It didn’t taste so good, but I needed a snack.
When we got back home to New York, Daddy and I parked the car like we usually do, but then we walked to meet Mommy at the St. James Gate. This is my favorite place to go because we sit outside and there’s lots to see! I got to eat all types of crumbs off the sidewalk under the tables. Mommy scolded me and said I would get diarrhea again. What’s diarrhea?

A cute puppy walked by and wanted to play with me. Woof! I got so excited. I went over to say hello, but something happened. Daddy fell over! In his chair! Oh no—I pulled too hard again. This time I really did it. Daddy was laughing but mommy was embarrassed. She said I broke the chair. I didn’t mean to. It was a bad chair any way. The nice people from the St. James came outside and shook their heads and looked at me. They brought Daddy another chair. Please let me stay, I promise I’ll be a good boy now. Mommy said she is going to change my name from Bogey to Marley Dipped in Chocolate. I don’t know who this Marley guy is, but I love chocolate! Chocolate? Anyone? Chocolate? Woof!
The other day, we went to Central Park in the morning. That’s my favorite time because I get to run around without my leash. We got to the duck pond, and well, Daddy told me “NO.” I’m not allowed in there. But Labbie that I am, I couldn’t resist. I thought it would be okay if I took a real quick swim, and no one would notice. So I did. But then Daddy put me back on the leash. He was no fun.
Next we went to the dog park and we played with my favorite orange balls again. I got really hot, and needed a cool down. I laid down in the water in the middle of the park. I felt so much better. Then came the fun part–Daddy hosed me down and I drank from the hose! Woof woof!

Yesterday, Mommy took me to Riverside Park, my second favorite place after Central Park. I have loads of favorite places, because I love going anywhere! Mommy started talking to this strange lady, but she seemed nice enough. When I tried to eat one of her potato chips, she yelled at me! She was so mean, I almost cried. Then Mommy said I was naughty. I didn’t understand. Obviously, this mean lady doesn’t like to share. Mommy and Daddy always taught me to share everything. Why couldn’t she share one lousy potato chip with me? I had to find a snack elsewhere.
Today, I am at Biscuits and Bath, another favorite place. I haven’t been there for such a long time, but everyone remembers me. I am playing with some of my old friends, which is so fun! I am in time out again for something I did wrong. But that’s okay. I can use this time to write about my adventures. I wonder if it’s because I let all of the other dogs out of the run again? Those doggies asked to get out. Lucky for them I know how to open doors. They wanted to go downstairs and have nap time. As Mommy says, my life never has a dull moment. Whatever that means.
I try to be a good boy, I really do. Sometimes it’s just too hard being a Labrador. Time out is over! Here I come! Woof! Woof!
