|This is in New York’s near future. Break out the fall wardrobe!|
You have your hottest date of the year coming up (kudos to your guy for doing the impossible – landing a table at Bobby Flay’s Gato!), and you want to look your very best for the occasion. Or, you’re invited to that swanky benefit in Brooklyn, and you need a fabulous yet affordable LBD. Don’t sweat it. We’ve got you covered.
Even though your closet is still in summer mode because you haven’t yet brought your fall wardrobe in from storage (this is the norm in a New York fashionista’s life), shift your direction –– and fast. Our friends at Ann Taylor have the right idea with styling complete looks for us this season. Buy new, or mix and match existing and new, but whatever you do, DO NOT forget the booties. Obviously.
If you’ve thought of AT as a brand for traditionalists in the past, I can promise that with a quick view of this year’s collection, you will see more progressive yet still classic ensembles screaming to be worn (by moi!) no less, or maybe even you, of course.
I started this post with five looks, and I couldn’t decide, so I went with ten, and I found it challenging to narrow to that number. AT is smoking hot this season and here’s a mere sampling of sophisticated looks for fall. For a glimpse at the complete Ann Taylor collection, visit the website.
