Happy Thanksgiving from NYC! I have so much to be thankful for this year….my husband, Mike, family and friends, Bogey and Mimi, this blog and all of you who read it (thank you so much!) and of course, that I still get to live in New York City….
I watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this morning while sipping a cappuccino, and then I made avocado toast! It was really delicious.
This year, I’m not cooking Thanksgiving dinner, but going out to avoid the stress and mess since my oven isn’t so great at cooking a turkey. I might make a less-involved version of the meal this weekend, if I’m in the mood to cook.
A few years back, Mike and I went to Pennsylvania for the holiday since Hanukkah fell at the same time. We ate in a historic hotel, and that was a fun Thanksgiving.
Mike and I stayed in New York last year too. We ate at Gaby in midtown and saw some of the holiday decorations early. Lauren wrote about what she’s most thankful for, and I think she feels the same one year later.
This year, Lauren is celebrating in Florida with her friends and family, so here’s a shout-out to Lauren! I’m also incredibly grateful for Lauren. She has become an essential member of my team and contributed countless entertaining and informative articles to this blog. Thank you, Lauren!
Here’s wishing you and your loved ones a very happy and peaceful Thanksgiving wherever you are and however you celebrate.
What are you most grateful for this Thanksgiving?
