‘Tis the season for holiday parties….. You’re probably in the midst of planning Thanksgiving dinner, a Christmas soiree, and other family get-togethers, or you will be very soon. Hosting an NYC holiday party in an apartment can present its challenges. In fact, cooking for a large group isn’t always enjoyable when you have a small space, and depending on the layout of your kitchen, sometimes it’s not even feasible.
Maybe you’re not the type to entertain at home, but you’re in charge of your office shindig, so you happen to be responsible for feeding 25, 50 or 100 co-workers. Yikes –– that sounds overwhelming. Whether you’re entertaining at home or planning a corporate party, hiring a caterer can make all the difference in your stress level, not to mention a fun holiday vs. a holiday that feels like another task crossed off your to-do list.
Believe it or not, you can find catering options in New York City no matter what your budget is. From takeaway dishes to delivered items, to mobile food trucks and full-service New York caterers, your choices are plentiful. Allowing someone else to handle the food part of a holiday event frees up time to do the good stuff, like decorating, shopping, wrapping gifts, and mingling with friends and family.
A few years back, for example Boston Market took care of all the food for my Friendsgiving, so putting the dinner together for eight people was easy AND fun.
If you’ve considered hiring someone to help with your Christmas dinner or work event, but you weren’t sure where to start, I’ve put together a list of delectable options.
