Could it actually be chilly in the middle of Manhattan in August? It was this past weekend at the Jaguar Chill with a larger-than-life snow globe under the High Line. The event was complete with a skating rink, pro-skaters, free snow cones and iced coffee, and of course SNOW. Did I mention the Jaguars?

Sleek Jag models were on site for oohs, aahs, testing and photos. These shiny pieces of luxury were an interesting contrast against the remaining grit of now trendy West Chelsea. We grabbed our ‘snocones’ from Handsome Dan’s and then headed for the rink. Free skates were available, but we were better at eating the ice than skating on it.

Cold air blasted through the globe and snow dusted our shoulders. We pretended for a minute that it was February, but then we walked back out into the heat and were quickly reminded that it wasn’t. No matter the season, those Jags looked good enough to buy. We can dream, can’t we?
