I had no idea, but Stockholm is chic. And not just any chic, but rather, the city is fashionable without trying. In my opinion, the ‘casual chic’ style that I witnessed every day as I roamed the city is the best kind.
I toured the SoFo district, (sound a little like a neighborhood in NYC?), which translates to South of Folkungagatan –– an area in Södermalm, and quickly realized that the area is a hub for stylish and trendy Swedes and clean, elegant interior design. Browsing NK Stockholm (the major department store in the city that could be compared to Bloomingdale’s at 59th and Lexington in Manhattan) felt like I was shopping in a luxurious mall rather than in a department store.
Since fashion is undeniably a priority in this Scandinavian city, take a look at the chic side of Stockholm.
