If you’ve ever been in the city for a special occasion –whether you live in New York City or made a dedicated trip here – you know that you’ll come across countless places to celebrate a wedding anniversary in NYC. Let’s face it, from the magnificent views in Fort Tryon to the charming cobblestone streets in Brooklyn Heights– New York is, after all, one of the most romantic cities in the world.
A couple choosing the Big Apple as a destination to commemorate the greatest day in their lives is pretty common, not only for the city’s alluring qualities but also because NYC offers a plethora of wonderful, fun, and unique things to do. Just think – Central Park or the top of the Empire State Building – you can’t get more poetic than either of those attractions. Plus, the restaurant scene in New York City is and will always be one of the best in the world, and many couples prefer to toast their special day over a special dinner.
When Mike and I are in the city on our anniversary (we were married on Memorial Day weekend and sometimes we’re out of town over the holiday), we choose a restaurant that we haven’t been to yet. One year we splurged and went to Gramercy Tavern. I remember that meal as one of my favorite restaurant experiences of all time.
Dinner out is only one way to honor your special occasion. I have some other ideas up my sleeve. 🙂 For a list of spots perfect to celebrate a wedding anniversary in NYC, grab a read of my latest article on the Cubesmart city blog.
