After a steamy summer, I’ve been so looking forward to cooler temps and pulling the sweaters out of my closet. Besides the pleasant weather and cozy fashion staples, though, there are countless reasons to anxiously await the arrival of fall in NYC.
Yes, of course, the change of season keeps me from getting bored. (I need variety and couldn’t live in a place where it’s always warm or rarely rains.) But with autumn comes back to school, shorter days, crisp fall nights, and in a city like New York –– unique and fun things to do.
Two of my favorite holidays take place during this season too, and as a person who appreciates bold color combinations, I have an affinity for fall in general, and especially autumn in New York. (For leaf-peppers –– not all foliage sightings take place outside Gotham.)
If you live in the city, I recommend that you savor every moment of the season, because winter (and this year is supposed to be brutal) is coming up next. If you’re traveling to New York this fall, stop for a minute amidst the crowds and hustle and bustle, and inhale, absorb, and bask in the beauty that is fall in NYC.
